Tim Binnall is a bit too credulous for my liking, and he comes across as both a bit of a huckster (he sells underwear with his picture on it, for Pete's sake) and a "fanboy" (but never a sycophant, like some do)... which makes him perfect for ufology in the early 21st century!!Seriously, though, Binnall has created quite a little ufological mini-empire for himself at his Binnall of America website. He has a forum, columnists (it may surprise some folks, but I actually like Lesley's stuff, even if I don't often agree with it), regular reports on things like Coast to Coast (alas, Binnall seems to like Rense as well), but his biggest contribution so far has been his podcast interviews with some of the major (and a few not so major) figures in ufology (Stan Friedman, Nick Redfern, Colm Kelleher, and Steven Bassett, to name just four). In this respect, Binnall is at the cutting edge of where ufology is going - on-line, 24/7, with no boundaries, for good and ill.
He's only 27, and I suspect that as time goes by he'll become a bit more skeptical (which is a good thing, at least as far as I'm concerned). Or not - who knows? Regardless, Binnall's enthusiasm is a breath of fresh air, and he's become a significant alternative, DIY force in ufology, which I respect. He has the potential to someday be the successor to the likes of Coast to Coast's Art Bell and George Noory... and I mean that in a good way!
As for the hucksterism, well... I kind of like that too. It shows he has a sense of humour, and that's important, especially in ufology.
Just ask Jim Moseley!

I like Binnall just the way he is.
Zero research and fawning fanboy interviews. If this is Generation NOW, then apparently talent has skipped a generation, while endless self-promotion has not. Merely offering a weekly rehash of Coast to Coast AM does not make one a UFO researcher. It actually speaks volumes that the "so-called" stars of UFOlogy will actually do a two-hour phone interview with him. (For what? To sell a book to one of his ten listeners?)

Infact, you crap on a whole generation of people who, long after the dust has settled in the wake of all the known UFOLOGISTS (stretching their mortality beyond it's restraints), we will be all that is left. We will be the professionals. The scholars. The UFOLOGISTS you will be looking to for answers. So before you decide you have a problem with the YOUTH OF UFOLOGY, wake up and realize that Stan Friedman and his ilk will not be around forever and without us, neither will UFOLOGY.
Eh, Binnall rocks. He's the future of the paranorm-wave. If he had the broad exposure, he'd rip the ratings to the roof over C2C. I enjoy Rense, but I actually enjoy Binnall more. He's more even-tempered than JR, quite intelligent, actually reads what his guests have written, has a sense of humor, AND a sense of para-history.
footnote: I'm LOLing over to that shout-out to Jim Moseley, and the early paranormal hucksterism. Yep. Not many have read that tome he wrote, but they should.

Binnall rocks. I listen here and there to the Usuals, but I'll take a good Binnall interview over theirs, anyday. He's possesses substantial personality, a solid interview technique, he's even-tempered, he's done his homework on his guests, and he's got a great and subtle sense of humor.
And yes, Moseley and the early writers were full of hucksterism, but the correlation of that fact,to Binnall, escapes me.
He's far less the huckster as compared to the other small handful of better-known hosts.
