If the story of the "alien body" slides from 1947 seems familiar, then that means you are old enough, as I am, to recall this narrative when it appeared back in the 1990s. It was called the Alien Autopsy film, it was a complete and utter hoax, and yet to this day their are still a few people who swear that it was absolutely real.
Just search for the name Ed Gehrman and "alien autopsy" and you'll see the gist of that kind of true believerism in action. Anthony Bragalia is the current incarnation of Gehrman, and while the notes might have changed the melody is the same, as is the underlying pathology.
As the prophets and Cylons said in Battlestar Galactica, all of this has happened before... and all of it will happen again.
