Adam Dew - A New Ray Santilli for the 21st Century

Yes, I recognize that by posting this I am helping Dew's viral marketing campaign, but it's all so amusing from a cultural studies perspective that I can't resist. I actually admire his chutzpah. The only question that remains is whether or not the "Dream Team" are actors in the play that is unfolding, or whether they are merely props.

The Roswell Slides - Deja Vu, All Over Again...

If the story of the "alien body" slides from 1947 seems familiar, then that means you are old enough, as I am, to recall this narrative when it appeared back in the 1990s. It was called the Alien Autopsy film, it was a complete and utter hoax, and yet to this day their are still a few people who swear that it was absolutely real.

Just search for the name Ed Gehrman and "alien autopsy" and you'll see the gist of that kind of true believerism in action. Anthony Bragalia is the current incarnation of Gehrman, and while the notes might have changed the melody is the same, as is the underlying pathology.

As the prophets and Cylons said in Battlestar Galactica, all of this has happened before... and all of it will happen again.
