Hmmm...the Drake equation. I'd put this forward as my theory:

Crankage of the tunage / Π - Drunken notes of apology = 5µ * (Gravitational constant of the universe / Acadia University)

Oh, wait a minute. You said Frank Drake's famous equation. Never mind.
