Kevin Randle - Alien Abductions

Kevin Randle (co-author of The Abduction Enigma) outlines his views on the "alien abduction" phenomenon in this short clip from an interview I conducted with him in 2001.

Very concise and rational explanation of the alien abduction phenomena. I wish more people would listen to level-headed reasoning like this.

To me, one of the telling aspects of those types of experiences is the dream-like (or nightmare-like) quality to them. Passing through walls, flying, and other physically impossible feats are things that most humans experience in dreams. There are also instances of the "abductee" seeing aliens in his/her room, which to me is suggestive of either hypnagogic or hypnopompic hallucinations - those occur often with sleep paralysis.

I feel sorry for people who believe they have been abducted by aliens, because they truly seem terrified. But I am equally angry with the authors and/or "researchers" who reinforce this belief and exploit people who are in need of a legitimate therapist.
The "abductees" are suffering, and the "help" they are given does nothing to assist them in overcoming their pain.

Anyway, good video clip and I wish more people could watch things like this.
