To: Paul Kimball &;I declined. In terms of any personal involvement on my part, I have never stated that I wanted to be a part of any Roswell debate. Indeed, I've often stated that I think it's time for serious UFO research to move away from "Roswellism" and get back to the really good cases, like RB47, or the Kelly Johnson sighting, or the 1996 Yukon sighting, or Shag Harbour, which celebrates its fortieth anniversary later this year.

THE ‘X’ ZONE
Date: Monday, August 13, 2007
Gentlemen:
You are invited a debate on Roswell, New Mexico on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 9 pm Pacific to 11 pm Pacific, along with Kal Korff.
To remove any suspicions on my own personal opinions and views of the Roswell Event, I will remain neutral and strictly moderate the debate.
Paul, to make sure that Mr. Randle gets this invitation, would you be kind enough to forward it to him.
I look forward to your reply.
Rob McConnell
Furthermore, my serious offer was out there first, and can be done in a format that is strictly moderated by a truly neutral third party. It would also help raise money for charity, as opposed to a corporate radio station. Finally, it would be done in person, which is always the best way to go.
All Mr. Korff has to do is agree, as Major Randle said "yes" as soon as he got the e-mail offer today (see the comments section of the original post), and we'll work the details out.
I'm sure Mr. Korff will love Canada.
Paul Kimball
P.S. Nevertheless, I have forwarded Mr. McConnell's offer along to Major Randle, who can make up his own mind. But I would hope that even if he accepts, it wouldn't stop Mr. Korff from crossing the pond for a serious, structured debate that would raise money to help American and Canadian veterans.
Perhaps if Major Randle sticks with this offer, Mr. McConnell can arrange a debate between Stan Friedman and Mr. Korff on the X-Zone instead. I'm sure Mr. Korff would relish the opportunity.

I'm convinced McConnell knows all-too-well that Korff is nuts and is exploiting the poor guy for entertainment value -- and that's *almost* enough to make me feel a little sorry for Kal.
And keep in mind that a good number of McConnell's listeners probably think Kal is for real because McConnell says so and he's a professional radio host. I consider this an insult to his audience.
And an insult to real professional radio hosts in addition...
Wow, Paul, you're offering to fly Korff and Randle to Canada, put them up at a hotel, including meals and a per diem at your own expense? What a great deal you're offering!
Why do I suspect Korff will decline it? Because it would be a fiasco for him to be so exposed to reality. But what if he says...yes?
If Kal is really interested in a serious debate then he should jump at your offer. Otherwise we should all ignore his stupid ass.
Leave it to Rob McConnell to try and ride on the coattails of Paul's gracious offer. Rob Mcconnell is an idiot and I completely agree that he is exploiting Kal Korff's condition to up the ratings of his show. Rob McConnell is a pathetic human being and the worst sort of pseudo journalist/broadcaster there can be - the irresponsible kind who are willing to trot out on whatever horse they can find to ride.
Kal boasts of never having lost a formalized debate. If this is the case, we will see if Kal has the courage to accept the debate invitation issued to him. What excuse will Kal offer? Time for Kal to put up or shut up and I, someone who knows Kal and once supported him (my mistake), know that Kal will make up some excuse to not accept the challenge. Kal doesn't have the balls to step up to this particular challenge.
This is from Korff's website: "Kal Korff has been in countless debates on the radio, worldwide television, in the media and of course while lecturing in person. Kal has never lost a structured, formal debate."
Well, let us see if Korff is as good as he claims. Come on Korff, take the invitation or please go crawl back under whatever rock it was you slithered out from under.
R.T.
But what if he says...yes?
Then he'll have a chance to put his claims to a real test. However, in ant cross-ex format debate, I'm sure the first question to him would be what he makes of his good pal Brad Spark's unequivocal refutation of the Project Mogul thesis. Does this make Brad a LIAR and a FRAUD?
In terms of what I would do, that's simple - pick him up at the airport, and arrange a social function were I could introduce him to some real models and actresses.
Hey, I'm a nice guy!
Paul
Hi Paul,
Kudos to you for being the most civilized in this tiresome affair. I've been quite about this as giving Korff a scrap of attention only fuels his lunacy. But this invitation is a true exception and I find your offer to be more than fair. Let's see if Korff has the balls to step up.
I will donate $50.00 to each military charity if this debate happens in accordance with Paul's gracious offer. Anyone else?

Royce:
Here's the thing about Mr. Korff - I personally think he's a self-aggrandizing bully. Full stop.
But...
He is one of the key proponents of the Mogul thesis (which is wrong, in my opinion, but that's a story for another day). Now that both Robert Todd and Karl Pflock have passed away, Korff is probably the standard bearer for that theory. Thus, a debate between him and someone like Kevin Randle, or Stan Friedman, is to some degree a useful thing (the degree being how much one cares about the Roswell case). And, as I said, it would help raise money for American and Canadian veterans charities, which is always a good thing.
So here's hoping he accepts.
Paul
P.S. What would be really interesting would be a three-way debate between Korff, Randle and Nick Redfern! :-)
oops...meant to say 'quiet' in that last comment.
Yes, Randle, Redfern, and Korff would be entertaining. Though I think I'd be far more interested in hearing Randle and Redfern. And raising money for military veteran charities, who could say no to that?

That would indeed be an interesting debate.

Who indeed?
Paul,
I recommend this title for the DVD you might release of this debate...
