The nominations for the 2006 Zorgy Awards have officially closed, and here are the top three nominated choices in each category for you to vote for (some categories were discontinued due to lack of sufficient nominations):
That's it for the "reader nominated" choices, but Zorgrot and I couldn't have a Zorgy Award vote without coming up with a couple of special categories of our own:
Now all that's left to do, dear readers, if for you to "rock the vote" and pick the winners of the 2006 Zorgy Awards.
Voting Closes on December 31st, and the winners will be announced on January 1st, 2007.

I voted and I'M PROUD! (Looks like you might have a nail-biter on your hands with the Adamski Memorial...)
Unlike the upcoming US elections, this was a vote I cared about! Everyone should vote for Boylan. He's the Councillor for Earth, after all!
I agree. The George Adamski Memorial Award presented the most difficult challenge. They are all so deserving!

Nuts! I forgot about the deadline for nominations. How did my favorite "trouble-maker," James Moseley, do in the nominations? Would my one vote have made a difference?

Ray:
No - Jim wasn't even on the "troublemanker" radar. It should be interesting to see whether he (i.e. Saucer Smear) can take down the Fortean Times and UFO Mag.
The landslide win will probably go to Tonnies for best blog. The tightest race might be the "troublemaker" one.
I suppose it all depends on who picks this up, and gets the word out. I hope lots and lots of people vote.

Aren't they! :-)
Greer got my vote, but I see Hoagie is well ahead in the early going. Hard to argue with any of them!!

Well, this one is more important. :-)

Those Sub Rosa folks sure know how to get out the vote. At least it's really good, I must admit. :-)
Dustin:
True enough... but, as Tim Binnall said at his forum, it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Still, TDG and SR have built up a pretty sizeable lead.
